Nigeria’s Super Eagles will today take part in an open door training session at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium by 5pm as the team steps up preparations for their crunch 2018 World Cup qualifiers against the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon.
A statement from the Super Eagles official twitter handle confirmed that today’s training practice will hold by 5pm and will be opened to the public while that of Wednesday and Thursday would be behind closed doors.
16 players will take part in today’s training session including; Akpeyi, Ezenwa, Alampasu, Aina, Mikel Obi, Mikel Agu, Musa, Onazi, Ighalo, Ebuehi, Etebo, Echiejile, Awaziem and Iheanacho, Ekong, Ndidi who arrived Uyo late last night.
Victor Moses, Uche Agbo, Moses Simon, Leon Balogun, Aaron Samuel and Israeli based duo John Ogu and Anthony Nwakaeme are expected to arrive Uyo later today.
The Super Eagles currently sit top of Group B with six points after victories over Zambia and Algeria. Cameroon are second with two points after drawing the Zambia and Algeria.
Nigeria will take on Cameroon at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium,Uyo on Friday 1 September by 5pm.
