Nigeria’s Super Eagles would depart Russia in batches after their early exit from the 2018 FIFA World Cup, Naijafootballplus.com reports.

 

Nigeria finished third in Group D with three points from possible six, losing two games against Croatia and Argentina with only one win against Iceland at Volgograd Arena.

 

The team would depart in batches as players are already leaving for their various holiday destinations.

 

Naijafootballplus.com witnessed Wilfred Ndidi departure at the Super Eagles hotel in Saint Petersburg on Wednesday morning, the Leicester City midfielder departed Russia with his girlfriend.

 

The team contingent departed for Essentuki their camp base on Wednesday afternoon, but the team captain John Mikel Obi and Bryan Idowu didn’t travelled with the team to the camp base.

 

The rest of the contingent are scheduled to fly out of Russia on Friday (Tomorrow) morning to Nigeria.

 

“Most of the players have left for their different holiday destinations, the rest of the team contingent will depart from Essentuki tomorrow,” Super Eagles media officer Toyin Ibitoye told Naijafootballplus.com.
