Following their superlative performance, two of Super Eagles players have been named in the CAF best XI for match day 5 of the world cup qualifiers.
The duo of Shehu Abdulahi and Victor Moses was named in the team that was released on Tuesday morning.
Chelsea winger Victor Moses actually started the move that resulted in the lone goal in the game.
The Former Wigan player dropped the ball for ex Kano Pillars right back Abdulahi, who then assisted Alex Iwobi in netting the winner.
South Africa’s Peru Tau who revived the hopes of Bafana Bafana in their clash over Burkina faso and Mohammed Sallah who singlehandedly took Egypt to their first world cup since 1990 also made the team.
Others include, Senegal’s Khadim N’diaye
and Kalilou Koulibaly, Morocco’s trio of Khalid Boutaib, Mbark Boussoufa and Achraf Hakimi, Egypt’s Ahmed Hegazy, and Youssef Msakni of Tunisia.
