Shooting Stars have agreed personal terms with Jimoh Wasiu as the FC Ifeanyi Ubah star prepares for a return to Ibadan, Naijafootballplus.com understands.
The former Flying Eagles winger dumped the Oluyole Warriors during the mid-season transfer window last season to join the Anambra Warriors.
He won an honourary 2016 Federation Cup medal and the 2017 Super Cup with the Nnewi based club.
The former Kwara Academy player has struggled to get playing time under coach Yaw Preko this season.
“I don’t have any problems with coach Preko, we have got a good working relationship. I am not getting enough playing time and I want to move on,” said Wasiu to Naijafootballplus.com.
Wasiu who scored the first hattrick of the 2015/2016 season for Shooting Stars against MFM FC added: “I have agreed personal terms with Shooting Stars management and they are excited I am coming back home.
“I left last season based on mutual agreement and respect for my career. I can’t wait to complete the deal and reunite with my family.”
Shooting Stars are expected to complete Jimoh Wasiu’s transfer from FC Ifeanyi Ubah this week.
“We have decided to spend big in the transfer window and improve the squad with quality players. Wasiu is available and we have reached personal terms. Hopefully, we can get that sorted with his club and the registration this week.
“He spent precious moments with us and he was the toast of the fans. We can’t forget easily his hattrick last season against MFM. We are happy he is coming back home and help the club survive the relegation troubles,” Shooting Stars sources divulged to Naijafootballplus.com
