Arsenal to begin contract extension talks with Iwobi

Arsenal FC are reportedly in talks with
Super Eagles’ forward Alex Iwobi over an extensive contract.

Despite penning a contract last year, another contract has been thrusted the way of the 21-year old and the club are obliged to cement a long-term contract with the youngster before World Cup next June.

SunSport revealed that talks have commenced between the player’s representatives and the club but they are still far from reaching a consensus because Iwobi, reportedly, want financial parity with other players in similar squad status and a tall improvement on his reported £30,000/week deal that he signed in October 2016.

Iwobi has forced his way into the immediate plans of Arsene Wenger despite the stiff competitionsfrom players with wealthier pulse of experience

He’s made 15 appearances for the gunners this season, impressing the Emirates faithful with his direct space-picking passes and his meteoric improvement.
