Nigeria striker Anthony Ujah has made a swift return to the Bundesliga, penning a three-and-half contract with Mainz 05 for an undisclosed fee.
The 27-years-old only left Bundesliga side Werder Bremen last year for Chinese Super League side Liaoning Whowin but he’s back and this time in the colours of former employers Mainz 05, who signed him in 2011 before shipping him off to FC Koln.
His acquisition was announced on the club’s verified Twitter handle.
“Anthony Ujah will be playing again for Mainz 05 from the second half of the
season. The 27-year-old attacker from Liaoning FC, signed a three-and-a-half deal until the summer of 2021.” the statement read.
He’ll be joining compatriot Leon Balogun as he hopes for a better second coming.
