MFM FC in minor road crash

Players in good condition


The team bus conveying players and officials of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministry Football club (MFM FC) was involved in an auto accident on Sunday while returning from their Matchday 5 fixture away at Jos.

The accident, reportedly, happened around 4pm along Akungba, Owo Road in Ondo State due to a brake failure but thankfully, nobody was reported dead or seriously injured except for some minor bruises and cuts suffered by some players and head coach, Fidelis Ilechukwu.

The team was on their way back from a 1-0 defeat to Plateau United by road on return from Jos where they will host Wikki Tourists.

The Club took to social media to confirm the unfortunate incident while further corroborating the report that nobody on the bus suffered serious injury from the crash.

“We had a minor road accident on way from Jos along Akungba road in Ondo State this evening. No life was lost, the players and officials of the team are in good condition. The head coach Ilechukwu Fidelis is also in good condition as well.” A tweet on the club’s Twitter handle read.
