Nigeria Professional Football League side Abubakar Bukola Saraki FC has given its Head coach, Henry Makinwa a 3-match ultimatum to turn around the fortunes of the side or face the sack.
The team’s shock 2-4 loss at home to Sunshine Stars prompted the decision. In a statement issued in Ilorin on Sunday and signed by the team’s Director of Football, Alloy Chukwuemeka, he stated that the management took the decision after a meeting to review the loss to Sunshine Stars on Sunday in Ilorin, adding it won’t accept poor performances from the technical crew anymore.
The Saraki Boys are without a victory in thier last four NPFL matches. That run includes a 0-2 loss to 3SC in Ibadan, 1-1 draw with Kano Pillars in Ilorin, another 1-2 loss to MFM FC in Lagos and the 2-4 at home to Sunshine Stars.
Further details of the statement stated that the current position of the team on the log was worrisome and the Makinwa-led technical crew must start its revival from their next game against Rivers United on Sunday in Ilorin.
In another development, the management has scheduled a meeting with the players, supporters club and the technical crew for Monday to discuss the way forward of the team.
