FC Ifeanyi Ubah defender, Adeleye Aniyikaye demands his side respect bottom of the table Remo Stars FC when they clash in a rescheduled matchday 28 fixture of the Nigeria Professional Football League on Tuesday at the Gateway Int’l stadium, Abeokuta.

The match was expected to have held on Sunday, but due to food poisoning which befell 13 regular first team players of Remo Stars it was postponed to Tuesday.

The Anambra Warriors walloped the sky blues 3-0 in the reverse fixture at the Ifeanyi Ubah Int’l stadium in Nnewi and they will be targeting a double on thier hosts at the Gateway stadium on tuesday.

Despite Remo Stars’ below average form in the top flight division in their first campaign, Adeleye feels that Ifeanyi Ubah FC cannot take them lightly.

“Remo Stars have struggle this season. It’s no doubt they are also a good side as they play better football. It’s only that they have not been getting a good result that’s why they are rocking the bottom of the log. We have to respect them but we must also have the will to win and cause them a lot of difficulties”, Adeleye told naijafootballplus.

“They like to dominate possession and dictate the game but we don’t know if that’s the way they will approach the game against us. We just want to do the double on them. That’s our objective although whoever manages to dominate possession will control the game and might eventually carry the day.

“This is a team that’s expected to fight from start to the finish as they are battling to survive the drop but they will need to triple their standard of game and give us a run for our money because we aren’t here to lose but to pick the maximum points inorder to get closer to our target this season.

“We are highly motivated for this duel and by shifting this game to tuesday gave us enough time to understand their philosophy and approach. We have even acclimatised ourselves to this environment and we are upbeat of getting a positive result in this encounter”, the former Bayelsa United submitted.
