With just 4 days to the top of the table clash between South Africa’s Bafana Bafana and Super Eagles of Nigeria on match day 5 of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier, Confederations of African Football (CAF), has appointed highly rated Gambian official, Papa Gassama to be the centre referee.

Experienced Gassama is no alien to a Nigeria match, as he was at the centre in the Russia 2018 qualifier against Zambia in far away Ndola where Nigeria recorded a 1-2 win over Chipolopolo.

The two teams are already in the camp getting ready for the much awaited match at the FNB stadium in Johannesburg on Saturday.

Bafana Bafana, who have recorded back to back goalless draw need an outright win to ensure their qualification, while Super Eagles require just a point to return to the African biggest football show after missing the last two editions.
