AFCON 2019 Qualifier; CAF name match officials for Super Eagles, Libya clash


Barely 3 weeks to the much awaited 2019 African Cup of Nations qualifier between Nigeria Super Eagles and Libya Mediterranean Knights, the Confederations of African Football { CAF} has named match officials for the game.

African football governing named DR Congo’s Jean-Jaques Ndala Ngambo as the centre referee for the home game slated for Ahmadu Bello stadium in Kaduna on october 12th, 2018.

To assist him will be his compatriots Oliver Safari Kebene and Nabina Blaise Sebutu as assistant referee 1 and 2.

Ngambo has never been involved in any game that includes Nigeria Super Eagl;es but has acted as 4th official for the game involving CHAN Eagles against Sudan in 2018 CHAN competition.

Meanwhile, CAF has also announced Botswana referee, Joshua Bondo as the centre referee for the return leg fixture slated for Tunisia.

Bondo who was at the centre when Nigeria defeated Chipolopolo of Zambia 1-0 in the Russia 2018 qualifier in Uyo will be assisted by Oamogetse Godisamang and Meschaki Medupi  .

Nigeria will be looking to upstage the Libyans who presently holds sway in the group with 4 points from 2 matches.
