Super Eagles midfielder Mikel Agu on Monday opened his goal account for his new Turkish Super League side Bursaspor.
In a keenly contested encounter against Osmanlispor who also paraded two Nigerians Aminu Umar and Raheem Lawal, Bursaspor missed a penalty in the 7th minute through Pablo Martin Battala.
Osmanlispor took the lead on 23 minutes through Souleyman Doukara but Bursaspor leveled in the 30th thanks to Bogdan Stancu’s strike off an assist from Mikel Agu.
Agu gave the home side the lead in the 38th minute to hand Bursaspor a first half lead at the break.
Bursaspor suffered a blow in the second half as Kembo Ekoko was sent off in the 62nd minute but with fifteen minutes left to play, Aziz Behich made the game safe with with Bursaspor’s third.
Super Eagles defender William Troost Ekong was also on parade.The win took Bursaspor to 8th position on the table with 12 points.
