It was all about the 2018 Women Aiteo Cup final yesterday as Rivers angels retained the trophy they won last year edging Ibom angels by a goal to nil.
That’s done and dusted already, and another anticipated clash, the men’s final holds today in Asaba at the Stephen Keshi Intl stadium as Pillars FC of Kano and Rangers FC of Enugu, face off.
Ahead of the game, Kano Pillars’ captain and playmaker, Rabiu Ali has stated that it’s going to be a win for pillars and there is no contest.
Speaking to Naijafootballplus.com on Tuesday night, the midfielder said;
“Firstly, it feels good to be in the final of the oldest competition in Nigeria and my team, Pillars is in great mood and spirit” Rabiu said
Speaking further on the game proper, Rabiu Ali was quick to say pillars will end up champions
“For the game, I don’t see any contest from our opponent, with due respect to Rangers, we’re going to win them, no fear, and no pressure. We[Pillars] will end up being champions”
That’s some sort of confidence from Rabiu which is good going into a final game, but it’s not going to be a ride over Rangers easily with a coach in Gbenga Ogunbote.
