The men’s and women’s finals of the 2018 Aiteo Cup will now hold on Wednesday, October 24 and Tuesday, October 23 respectively.
These new dates were released by the organizers, the NFF, on Tuesday, cancelling the initial date of Sunday, October 14.
According to the announcement, the women’s final will take place at the Samson Siasia Stadium, Yenagoa, Bayelsa state on Tuesday October 23 while the men’s final will go down at the newly opened Stephen Keshi stadium, Asaba, Delta state on Wednesday, October 24.
Seven times NPFL Champions Enugu Rangers and Kano Pillars have booked their placed in the final following gruelling semifinal wins over Nasarawa United and Katsina United respectively.
Rangers rallied back from a 2-0 deficit to win 4-2 over Nasarawa United in Kano while Pillars edged Katsina United 4-1 on penalties after regulation time ended 2-2.
In the women’s semifinal, which holds on Friday, Ibom Angels will take on Edo Queens in Owerri while Rivers Angels and Bayelsa Queens will fight it out in Enugu.
