Nigeria international defender James Okwuosa is finding his rhythm back in the South Africa Premier Soccer League (PSL).
The energetic defender was on Wednesday voted man of the match in his club Chippa United’s 1-0 triumph over Kaizer Chiefs.
Okwuosa who has made 3 appearances for Nigeria, put up a superlative display to cover Super Eagles goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi who has just returned to action from a minor injury.
Akpeyi sustained a neck injury days ago when he went down in pain in the 68th minute after clashing with a Mamelodi Sundowns player and was stretchered off. Following tests carried out on the player, he was cleared to return to training on Wednesday.
The win sees Chippa United climb to second position on the table after 13 matches played equal on points with league leaders Mamelodi Sundowns. Although Sundowns have played three games less.
