Osun United left fullback, Aleem Adebayo, who has been out for three weeks due to injury, has said that he is delighted he has now fully recovered and has returned to full training.
The left fullback picked up a groin injury on his left leg three weeks ago against Delta Force in week four of the Nigeria National League at the Osogbo Township stadium and has been sidelined for four matches since then.
“I am happy that I am back,” Adebayo said.
“It’s been very tough for me watching my team play from the stands but I can’t help the situation because injury is part of the game.
“The injury is gone now and the physio has confirmed that I am 100 percent fit to play now.”
The former Crown FC defender went further to submit his view on how his team has been profligate in front of goals, believing if they had managed to convert half of the chances they create in every game, they could have been top of the league by now.
“We hope to work more on our finishing as one could see how many scoring opportunities we missed against Crown FC, First Bank FC and Gateway United and even Bayelsa United (All away matches)”.
However, he assured that his team will pick points away from home and will continue their invisible run of form at home in the remaining games before the mid-season’s break.
“We have a very important game against Heartland FC in Owerri on Sunday. Our focus now is to beat the Naze Millionaire at the Dan Anyiam stadium on Sunday,” he said.
“Then we try and compound Ikorodu United woes when they visit us in midweek. We will try as much as possible to pick one of the promotion ticket for our darling fans at the end of the season”, the former Remo Stars defender concluded.
