Akwa United forward, Ibrahim Alhassan has described his invitation to the Super Eagles camp in Corsica, France as an amazing feeling and a dream come
true.

The former Nigeria National U20 star has been invited by the Super Eagles Franco-German coach Gernot Rohr for the upcoming friendlies and preparation for the 2019 AFCON qualifier against South Africa in Uyo next month.

Alhassan who has scored 10 NPFL goals for Akwa United in the ongoing league season said that he could not contain his joy when he received the National team call-up.

“I am excited and happy coach Gernot Rohr invited me to the National team, this is the highest level of football. This is my dream and it’s a dream come true for my career.

“My family are excited about the invitation, also my coaches and teammates. I cherish this moment and I am fulfilled to achieve my dream as a junior player.

“Honestly, I believe hard work pays. Commitment would always yield positive moments. I never knew my league performance would earn me a call-up. I was just being committed to my team’s success.

“I am dedicating this invitation to the entire family of Akwa United, if not for the platform to play for such a big club in the NPFL, I won’t get invited to represent my father land.

“I am looking forward to the camping in France and the test matches. I have to work hard and earn my place in the team for the South Africa game,” said Alhassan to Naijafootballplus.com.
