I always want to give my 100 percent for Nigeria – Moses

Nigeria and Chelsea player Victor Moses has cleared the air on rumours going around about his commitment to the Nigeria National team.

Moses has had issues with some section of the Nigerian press, fans and past managers of the Super Eagles concerning his commitment.

In an interview to thenational.ae Moses said: “Yes, everyone says that I select games. I have heard it myself,” he told the national , London.

“But it is what it is. I never run away from challenges. I love to play football, why would I run away from playing football? That is what we are meant to do.

“But people keep saying that I choose games for Nigeria … But I need to clear the air now, that is not true.

“If I have got an injury, I have got an injury. Whenever I want to play for Nigeria, I must be 100 percent, I want to give everything.

“But if I have got an injury, I don’t want to force myself because I am going to look stupid on the pitch.”

Moses switched allegiance to Nigeria in 2012 after representing the Junior Three Lions of England at various level of football and since then he has gone on to win the 2013 AFCON in South Africa with the Nigerian team.
