Former Celtic of Scotland defender Efe Ambrose has parted ways with Hibernian after spending two years with the club.
Ambrose joined the Hibs from second tier on loan from Celtic in 2017 before helping the club to secure promotion which made him sign a-2 year deal in 2017.
According to the club, “Hibernian FC can confirm the departure of Efe Ambrose after his move to invoke a contractual clause that allows him to leave this month.
The club made every effort to keep Efe but respect his decision and wish him well”, its stated.
The Super Eagles defender and Former Kaduna United defender was part of the team that won the 2013 AFCON for Nigeria under the tutelage of late coach Stephen Keshi.
