As the battle for survival in the Nigeria Professional Football League reaches a crescendo, Shooting stars coach Fatai Amoo has called his side to double their efforts away from home if they must survive the drop.
The Oluyole Warriors who have had it rough since the beginning of the season will be guests of survival hopefuls Remo stars . The battle between these two sides is a matchday 30 league fixture which comes up on Wednesday.
Amoo believes that for them to survive the drop they must secure an away win which it must start against Remo on Wednesday.
“We need to up our game, especially in our away matches if we must avoid relegation,” Amoo said.
“We have to put in more effort not just when we play at home but also at our remaining away games because it will be key to our survival”, he told journalist on Sunday.
The Oluyole Warriors have so far garnered four points on the road with four draws and ten loses of their fourteen games on the road.
Shooting Stars are placed 15th on the table with 36 points from 29 matches.
