Nigeria Professional Football League side, Shooting Stars Football Club continued their slide down the table at the weekend with fears of the club being relegated come the end of the season heightened, Technical Adviser of the Oluyole Warriors, Fatai Amoo believes that wouldn’t have been the case if his team had taken their chances.

The hope of the team surviving relegation suffered a another blow on Sunday at the Agege stadium after they lost 1-0 to MFM FC courtesy of Monday Shinshinma’s 21st minute strike.

Speaking to naijafootballplus.com after the match, Amoo suggested that his strikers have failed to perform their duty.

“As you can see we played well especially in the second half but we failed to take our chances.

“Since the beginning of the season we have we been struggling to get goals which has further worsened the team’s situation. But we will continue to work in order to rectify the problem,” Amoo stated.

Their loss to the Church boys means the Oluyole Warriors are now down to 20th on the log after Remo stars claimed a much needed victory over Nasarawa United.

Shooting Stars will again have the chance to gather more points and ease their relegation fears when newly promoted ABS FC visit the Lekan Salami stadium on Matchday 25.
