Alexander Lacazette expressed his gratitude to Nigerian star and Arsenal teammate Alex Iwobi after he provided a well tailored assist to the new gunners recruit.
The former Lyon star was of the mark in his first game for Arsenal. The gunners defeated Sydney FC 2-0 in front of a sell-out crowd at ANZ Stadium on Thursday.
Lacazette needed only 15 minutes on his debut for Arsenal in their first pre-season match to hit the net.
The goal was assisted by Super Eagles and Arsenal midfielder Alex Iwobi. Iwobi raced down the right-hand flank before cutting the ball back for Lacazette to sidefoot home.
He took to twitter after the game to thank Super Eagles star Iwobi.
“Happy to score my 1st goal with my new Team !! Thanks @alexiwobi .. great assist
