Coach of Enyimba FC, Paul Aigbogun, says there’s still work to be done, despite the 1-1 draw at the Milpark Stadium against Bidvest Wits on Friday evening in the CAF Confederation Cup Play offs.
Enyimba boosted their chances of making the competition’s group stage after the draw against Hosts Bidvest Wits in the playoff first leg in South Africa.
Coach Paul Aigbogun in a telephone conversation with Naijafootballplus.com on Saturday morning said:
“It’s was a great feeling after the draw, we scored the away goal which was of great importance.
“It was tough though, but I give glory to God and the players as well for putting up a good fight and giving us the much needed advantage going to the 2nd leg.”
Aigbogun was also quick to stress that, though Enyimba stood at an advantage, the tie is far from over with plenty of work still needed to be done.
“The tie isn’t over yet, because I noticed the Bidvest team well yesterday, they played very good.
“We will go back to Nigeria and put more work and finish it off in the 2nd leg, but we are happy with the result.”
