Baba Ganaru set to take over Yobe Desert Stars job


Nigeria National League side, Yobe Desert Stars has approached former Kano Pillars coach, Muhammed Baba Ganaru to take over the reigns of the Damaturu outfit can report.

Yobe Desert Stars are on on course to securing promotion to the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).

Baba Ganaru who was relieved of his post as head coach of Bauchi based club Wikki Tourists after a poor run of results early this year is close to agreeing terms with the NNL Northern Conference side.

A source close to Yobe Desert Stars informed Naijafootballplus that the former Nasarawa United technical adviser has been working with the team as technical consultant in their last couple of games.

Yobe Desert Stars currently occupy the third position on the log of the Nigeria National League‎ northern conference with 35 points, two points adrift of Jigawa Golden Stars who have played a game more.

Yobe Desert Stars will play host to Adamawa United in week 26 of the Nigeria National League on Wednesday and a win for the Damaturu based club will move them closer to their ambition of getting the promotion ticket to the apex league in the country.
