English championship side Birmingham city, have approached Cyprus premier league side Anorthosis Famagusta, for the signature of Nigeria international defender Shehu Abdulahi, Daily mail reports.
The ex Kano Pillars defender is already in the last six months of his contract with Anorthosis, and could be available for £500,000.
Anorthosis may want to cash in on the defender who has also attracted interest from Freiburg of Germany, in order not to lose him for nothing during next summer.
Abdulahi who has made 15 appearances for Anorthosis Famagusta, has been impressive for both club and country in the year 2017.
Abdulahi played a key role in Nigeria’s Super Eagles team that secured a Russia 2018 ticket.
The Blues, are currently at the bottom of the table and funds have been made available for manager Steve cotterril to get the 23 cap Nigerian.
