Abubakar Bala has resigned from his position as Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side, Kwara United head coach, Naijafootballplus.com can report.
The former Niger Tornados coach resigned on Sunday night after the goalless disappointing home result against Lobi Stars in the NPFL Matchday 17 game.
“The coach met with his coaching staff yesterday night and informed them about his decision to resign, he also spoke with the team senior players about his departure,” A top source closed to the gaffer said to Naijafootballplus.com.
“A lot happened and he’s not ready to divulged, he has decided to sacrifice his job for the interest of the club. He appreciate the team management and everyone he has worked with since he joined the club and also the fans for the huge support. However, it’s proper time for him to move on.”
Abubakar Bala joined Kwara United on March 13, 2018. The Afonja Warriors have struggled all season and they are deep in the relegation waters with 15 points from 17 NPFL games.
