Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL) side, FC Robo Queens have boasted that they are a team known for nurturing talents rather than purchasing them.
This was revealed by the coach of the side, Emmanuel Osahon, to journalists after the Lagos based female team beat visiting Abia Angels 4-0 in an NWFL fixture on Wednesday evening.
He felt that both teams had a good game but his side took their chances on the evening and his opponents didn’t which he attributed to hardwork.
“It’s wasn’t a bad game. We had and took our chances, they didn’t. Losing away from home made me work for this victory.” He said
He went further to reveal that the team is known for building and improving players rather than just buying them.
“I build players, I don’t buy players. We improved.” He added
A hatrick by fast rising Rasheedat Ajibade helped the Lagos based side beat visiting Abia Angels 4-0 and the coach feels they need to do more to escape relegation this season.
“We’re just starting the second round and we need to get ourselves out of safety first before setting any other target for ourselves.” He concluded.
FC Robo Queens will hold their heads high for the discovery of Nigeria female football teenage sensation, Rasheedat Ajibade and also the reigning African female footballer of the year, Asisat Oshoala, who now plies her trade in China.
