Super Eagles player Mikel Agu has joined Bursaspor on a season-long loan deal from Portuguese league side FC Porto.
In 2015/2016 season, after making one appearance for Porto B, he went
on loan to Club Brugge in the Belgian Jupiler league. Agu made just two league
appearances as Brugge finished the season as league champions.
The midfielder’s career blossomed in 2016/17 when he was on loan to Victoria Setubal. He made 27 league appearances, starting 25 times; and 34 total appearances in
Agu who made his debut for Super Eagles against Hawks of Togo in an international friendly played in France in march, will be the second Nigerian at Bursaspor after Super Eagles defender William Troost-Ekong joined the Turkish club in June 2017.
