Enyimba International FC coach, Paul Aigbogun has expressed his happiness with his team’s progression to the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup.
Speaking to journalists on Wednesday, the former Warri Wolves handler said they did just enough for the result and hailed their opponents, Bidvest Wits, as a good side.
Aigbogun further revealed that with a group stage ticket now secured, Enyimba will shift focus to the domestic scene.
“I’m very happy. We did what we needed to do,” said Aigbogun.
“We played against a good team. They are the champions in South Africa and the scores show we were evenly matched.”
“We’ll now concentrate on the league,” he added.
With the group stage draw to be held on Saturday and matches to resume in May, Enyimba FC will have a busy schedule as they play catch up in a bid to move closer to the top of the Nigeria Professional Football League table.
Enyimba are currently placed 9th on the NPFL table with 22 points and have 3 outstanding games.
