Two-time African champions, Enyimba FC are upbeat ahead of the return leg of the CAF Confederation Cup semifinal encounter tonight in Casablanca against Raja Club Athletic on Wednesday night.
Speaking ahead of the game, Enyimba FC technical adviser, Usman Abd’Allah said that his team respects their opponents but will go all out as there will no longer be any excuse.
“We have respect for Raja because they are a big side, but this match is not over yet until the final whistle. So we are coming all out for it. We’ve rested very well to make sure we get a positive result from this match”. Coach Abd’Allah said
Defender Ifeanyi Anaemena also expressed his optimism that a good game on the night can guarantee Enyimba passage to the finals.
It is true we lost the first leg, but as I’ve always said, these games are decided in the second leg. This is like the second half. It is true they have the advantage but we are prepared to play a good game and hope for a good result.” The defender said.
Meanwhile, fans of Wydad Casablanca who are city rivals of Raja Club Athletic have voiced their support for Enyimba as they hope that the People’s Elephants beat their hosts, Raja Club Athletic.
Enyimba FC will be looking to overturn a 0-1 first leg defeat in Aba which tilts the balance towards the Moroccan Green Eagles ahead of the return leg.
The match is scheduled to kick off at 8pm Nigeria time.
