Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed Nigerian FIFA badge referee, Ferdinand Udoh for next month’s 2017 CAF Confederation Cup Group D matchday three encounter between TP Mazembe and Supersport United, Naijafootballplus.com can exclusive report.
The Akwa-Ibom top elite referee smarting from the just concluded 2017 AFCON U-17 in Gabon where he officiated two matches will be the centre referee in one of the biggest game on Matchday three in the CAF clubs second tier competition.
Udoh, officiated the opening game in Group B against Mali and Tanzania, he was also appointed the fourth official for Group A encounter between Gabon and Cameroon.
Udoh will be assisted by the trio of elite referees from Nigeria. Abel Baba and Peter Eigege have been appointed as the assistant referees respectively while Salisu Basheer will be the fourth official. Jean Felix Mba from Gabon will be the match Commissioner and Souleymane Magassouba from Mali has been named as the match General Coordinator.
“We are excited that our referees are getting the necessary attention with CAF and FIFA matches. From the 2017 AFCON with Abel Baba and Udoh for the AFCON U17. Our referees in the last one year have officiated top matches on continent. TP Mazembe are the CAF Confederation Cup defending champions. Mazembe and Supersport United are joint top table leaders in Group D with four points respectively.
The game will hold on June 4th at the Stade TP Mazembe, Lubumbashi, Congo.
