CAFCC: USM Algers hit Lagos for Plateau United Wednesday

Algerian giants, USM Algers will arrive Lagos on Wednesday for the CAF Confederation Cup clash against Nigeria Professional Football league Champions Plateau United.

The Algerian side which has been preparing for the tie lost their last league game 1-0 to Belouizdad on Friday and are eager to shock the Nigerians.

Plateau United were demoted to the second tier of African football after they lost to another North African side, Etoile Du Sahel 3-4 on aggregate.

The Jos based side are however boosted by the return to training of duo Raphael Ayaghwa and Okiemute Odah, who had both been out of action in the last four matches.

USM Algers revealed their movement on their twitter handle, with their training picture ahead of the game.

“CAF ; Départ à Lagos mercredi 🛫🇳🇬 La délégation des Rouge et Noir se déplacera ce mercredi 4 avril au Nigéria pour y affronter l’équipe du Plateau United pour le compte des 16es de finale aller de la Coupe de la CAF.” it wrote.

The match is scheduled for the Soccer temple in Agege Lagos on Saturday while the return leg will take place in Algiers.
