Little known Nigeria stars played active roles in the second leg quarter final of this year’s CAF Champions League game between former African Champions, TP Mazembe of DR Congo and Angolan side Primero D Agosto.

The two of the three Nigerian players, Ibukun Akinfenwa and Kehinde Anifowoshe took part in the game and made sure Primero D Agosto pegged back Mazembe to a 1-1 draw.

Akinfenwa was substituted in the 90th minute while Anifowoshe was introduced in the 76th minutes of the game.

The third Nigerian, former Rangers International defender Razak Adegbite was an unused substitute in a game the host missed two spot kicks.

The draw ensured Primero goes through via away goals rule after playing a goalless draw last week in Luanda.

Meanwhile, primero will face Tunisia side Esperance in the Semi Final of the competition.

Esperance sent out another Tunisia side Etoile Due Sahel 3-2 on aggregate in the other quarter final match.
