English championship side, Queens Park Rangers, suffered their third defeat of this League campaign against Sheffield United on Saturday.

In an entertaining encounter, Nigeria’s youngster Ebere Eze gave the host an early lead in the 10th minute with a cool finish at the edge of the box.

In the 19th minute, Sheffield United responded
with an effort of their own. Midfielder John
Fleck, found some space on the edge of the
box and hit a decent dipping shot from 25-
yards but it was comfortably saved by QPR’s goalkeeper.

The first half of the encounter ended 1-1, despite the host finishing strongly.

The second half resumed with no much difference from what was experienced in the first 45 minutes.

In the 63rd minute, Chris Wilder replaced
Sharp with David McGoldrick and he was
involved straight away, winning a controversial
penalty. The ball was crossed from the left-
hand side and the referee decided that he was
unfairly brought down by Joel Lynch. The
former Ipswich man dusted himself down and
dispatched the penalty.

The loss made it three consecutive defeats for QPR with Eze being their first and only scorer so far this season.
