With just 3 matches in the championship, Nigeria’s Super Eagles midfielder and captain John Mikel Obi, has been hailed by Middlesbrough’s coach Tony Pulis.
Mikel joined Boro in the winter transfer from Chinese Super League side Tianjin Teda.
The Former Chelsea player was at the heart of the Middlesbrough’s team that played out a 1-1 draw against Leeds United on Saturday.
The Manager, Tony Pulis, showered praise on the lanky midfielder after the game.
” Mikel was the best player on the pitch today, he looked composed in the holding role, tidying up and playing some neat passes into the midfield with three in front of him ” said Pulis.
Mikel is expected to be in action again on Wednesday when Middlesbrough face Sheffield United.
