After winning one game out of four, the coach of the Amavubi of Rwanda and one of the group rivals of Nigeria’s home based Eagles Antoine Hey, has rued the poor outing of his team at the CECAFA tournament but promised that the team will be ready for CHAN.
The Rwanda national team struggled to get a win in their last game against Tanzania, to at least leave the tournament on high.
The performance drew criticism to the gaffer and the entire team, but the coach has now tried to calm tensions and promised to improve the team.
The coach reacted through his twitter handle on Sunday, when the team was about to depart Kenya for Kigali.
“Sometimes its hard to be a Coach! All in all #cecafa was a good preparation for #chan2018. We will be ready! #amavubi
Rwanda is grouped alongside Nigeria, Libya and Equatorial Guinea for the 2018 CHAN tournament slated for Morocco.
