Chelsea, Liverpool at loggerheads over Solanke transfer fee

The last has not been heard about Nigeria-born starlet Dominic Solanke’s move from Chelsea to Liverpool.

The young forward ran down his contract with English champions Chelsea and refused to sign an extension due to Chelsea boss Antonio Conte failing to guarantee him first team action.

He moved to Liverpool but according to stipulated rules Chelsea is entitled to a compensation from Liverpool.

The Blues are demanding for a whooping £10m, while Liverpool do not want to pay more than £3m.

If both clubs fail to settle amicably, there is a tendency they might be referred to a tribunal while Solanke will be suspended from playing till the matter is resolved.

Liverpool are not new to matters like this, they encountered similar problem during their purchase of former England international Danny Inns from Burnley.

Solanke has made two substitute appearances for Liverpool this season.
