Former CHAN Eagles defender Chima Akas suffered a narrow defeat on his debut for Kalmar FF against Hacken in the Swedish Allsvenskan league.
The left-back was in action for the whole duration of the game as Kalmar lost 1-0 to Hacken courtesy a penalty goal from Moestafa El kabir in the 74th minute.
The former Enyimba defender joined the Swedish side during the 2018 winter transfer window and was part of the team training camp in Spain.
He has played three matches for the club in the Swedish FA cup and participated in the six friendlies involving the club.
Chima Akas was part of the Super Eagles under the tutelage of former coach Sunday Oliseh and was in action when the team defeated Swaziland in the preliminary round of the Russia 2018 world cup.
Asides Akas, another Nigeria youth international Gbenga Arokoyo also made his debut for Kalmar FF as an 82nd minute substitute for Henman Hallberg.
