Consecutive wins for IK Start, Afeez Aremu thrilled

Victory for Norwegian side IK Start over Vikings on Saturday makes it two wins on the bounce, a situation former Akwa United midfielder Afeez Aremu finds most pleasing.

Afeez Aremu joined the team from International Allies F.C of Ghana during the winter transfer window and has continued to play a part for the team.

Aremu who netted the last goal in the 4-1 win over Tromso last weekend was instrumental to a 3-1 victory over visiting Vikings.

The mercurial midfielder played a key role in the qualification of the home Eagles to the Championship of African Nations in Morocco but was unable to make the team to the tournament due to his journey abroad.

The player took to instagram to react to the team’s performance after the game.

“Scoring goals is not just easy, but I thank God for the 2 assists I make of 3 goals, we won today against Vikings. Great game guys”

Start will host Sandefjord on Monday April 2, 2018 and Afeez Are u would hope to also play a major part in that match.
