CSKA Moscow release Aaron Samuel

Russian Premier League giants CSKA Moscow has released Super Eagles striker Aaron Samuel to join another Russian side Amkar Perm, till the end of the season.

The Russia football premier league transfer window is still open until February 22, which allows player’s movement into the league and within clubs in the league.

In the first half of the season, the Super Eagle started only five matches for CSKA in the Premier League, and two other appearances were made off the bench. It is thought he is in search of a new team where he can play on a regular basis to improve his chances of a recall to the national team ahead of the 2018 World Cup.

The former Shooting Stars striker on 17 February 2016 joined CSKA Moscow on loan from Guangzhou R&F for the remainder of 2015–16 season, before he signed a contract extension in 2017.

The Russian side confirmed his movement on their instagram handle on Sunday @ PFC_CSKA_official.

CSKA tweeted: “PFC CSKA Released Aaron Olanare to the location Perm Ankara, to him for a few day to collect in Turkey.

He will join the  duo of Nigeria defender Fegor Ogude and Brian Idowu in the team.
