Enyimba midfielder Dare Ojo doesn’t see Akwa United getting anything at their Manor in Calabar when both clubs face off on match day 19 in the Nigeria Professional Football League.
Though Ojo admits the Akwa side is one having plenty of quality within its ranks, he however doesn’t give them a chance in their match up on Sunday.
“Well, Akwa United is a very good side and it’s going to be a very tough game tomorrow (Sunday) with their elimination from the CAF Confederation Cup,” said the midfielder to Naijafootballplus.
“I know their mindset is fixated on getting something against us, but i don’t see them proving a point here.”
Dare Ojo says Enyimba has prepared well for the encounter and are fully ready for the visit of the Promise Keepers.
“Despite the victory in the rescheduled game against Go Round FC, we always prepare for every game differently, and we are good to go against the Uyo team.”
We have enough quality to leave Calabar with a positive result- Kelly Kester
Ojo also adds that former teammate Kelly Kester who now features for Akwa United will surely be given a warm welcome by the Enyimba team because he remains a friend.
“We are not wary of any player despite the calibre of players they parade.
“Kelly is highly welcomed back to his former club, where he is loved, we the players welcome him back.”
The clash between Enyimba and Akwa United is without any doubt the stand out fixture of match day 19 and will be closely followed by fans of the Nigeria Professional Football League.
