Nigeria’s Super Eagles defender Efe Ambrose, is close to achieving his long time dream of playing in the English league.
Championship side Derby County, is presently close to capturing the utility defender.
Ambrose who made 160 appearances for Celtic before joining Hibernian on loan almost signed for Blackburn Rovers, but failed to meet up the compulsory work permit and later joined Hibernian on a permanent basis.
The former Kaduna United defender terminated his deal with Hibernian during winter transfer which opened the door again for a championship club to sign him.
The reports coming from England indicates that Ambrose’ representatives are currently holding a discussion with Derby who wants to offer him a short term deal.
