Delta Force manager Chukwuma Agbo, says the destiny of his team is still in their hands after losing 3:0 to Bendel Insurance. ” We need to go back to the drawing board. We still have two matches, our destiny is still in our hands. If we can get six points maybe any miracle will happen”.
According to Agbo, the match against Bendel Insurance is the worst his team has played since he took over. ” Since I took over as a coach, I think this is the worst match we have ever played. Some days are like that”.
The coach insists that the red card given to his player, Nduka Eze in the 32nd minute is needless and it dampened the team’s morale.
” It was uncalled for. Really I don’t complain about referees but if you go and look at the film again, it was uncalled for. Another thing again is that it depleted our side. When you are losing 2:0 and when you are trying to come up, a red card is issued again, it dampens your morale”.
However, Agbo says the officiating in general is laudable. ” Apart from the red card, I think It’s above average”.
Delta Force will try not to drop any more points when they take on 3SC today(Monday) by 12pm at the Enyimba International Stadium, Aba.
