Coach of Scottish championship side Hibernian FC, Neil Lennon has declared that out of favour Celtic defender Efe Ambrose has proven his doubters wrong with his displays since joining the club.
Ambrose joined Hibernian FC on loan till the end of the season after being frozen out by the Scottish premier League Champions under former Liverpool coach Brendan Rodgers.
Coach Lennon however was full of praise for the much improved Ambrose.
“You could see what it means to him to be back playing football and the Hibs public have seen what a class player he is,” Lennon told Edinburgh News.
“Efe isn’t a bona-fide right-back, but I can trust in him that position. As a centre half, he has been superb. It’s been good for both parties and excellent for Efe to get his profile back in a positive manner.
“He’s shown the people of Scotland, Britain, Europe and back home in Nigeria what a class act he is. It’s been a great bit of business and he’s really enjoying the moment.”
Ambrose who won the AFCON with Nigeria in 2013, scored in Hibs 2-1 win over Falkirk on Saturday.
Since reuniting with his former coach at Celtic, a consistent improvement by the defender is turning heads in the press based in Hibernian.
