The first leg semi finals of the EFL Cup (Caraboa Cup) between Chelsea and Arsenal ended in a 0-0 draw, with Super Eagles duo Alex Iwobi and Victor Moses clashing in an exciting match.

Victor Moses came closest to scoring for the blues in the 28th minute, after dancing past Maitland Niles down the right wing for Chelsea before unleashing a left footed shot that came off the post, before goalkeeper Ospina gathered the rebound.

In the 40th minute, Iwobi who looked the biggest threat for Arsenal in the entire match, drew a sharp save from Thibaut Courtios in Chelsea goal.

While both Nigerians were very impressive, credit must go to Alex Iwobi who picked himself self up well, after coming in for heavy criticism for partying late, 48hours before their 2-4 loss to Nottingham forest in the FA cup on Saturday.

Chelsea dominated the second half but failed to produce clear cut chances, needed to win the first leg tie at their Stamford Bridge home turf.

This would be the fourth time Arsenal and Chelsea will play out a draw this season after 2 stalemates in the league and one previous draw in the community shield.

Both teams will reconvene at the Emirates stadium, to decide who goes through
to the final of the competition on the 24th of January.
