Egbuchulam nets treble in Sweden


Former Rangers international attacker Chisom Egbuchulam on Wednesday night netted his first hat trick for his Swedish club BK Häcken.

Häcken who travelled away to Kville BK in the Swedish FA Cup, demolished their hosts 9-1 in a one sided affair despite finishing the game with ten-men.

Häcken scored three goals in 16 mins through Mathias Ranegie from the penalty spot, Anderson and Chisom Egbuchulam.

The host pulled one back in the 33rd minute before Egbuchulam made it 4-1 in the 51st minute, Ranegie then made it 5-1 before Egbuchulam completed his hat-trick in the 71st minute. Ramos  Lingren, Lucas Hedlund and Adam Anderson completed the rout.

The Nigerian joined the Swedish side Häcken, last season after helping Rangers clinch the Nigeria league title after 32 years of waiting.

Before he left for sweden, he netted 16 goals for the Antelopes and was voted the league’s best player in the 2015/2016 season
