Ekong was shown a straight red card by referee Bulent Yildirim in the 38th minute of the encounter which further compounded the woes of Bursaspor, with Garry Rodriguez adding the second goal four minutes later.
The inclusion of two other Nigerians Shehu Abdullahi and midfielder Mikel Agu did little to stop the attacking prowess of the host with Sedar Aziz grabbing the third goal at the resumption of the second half. Gomis plundered in two more goals to complete his hat-trick to drop Bursaspor to 12th position on the table with 27 points from 18 matches.
Bursaspor are yet to record a victory in 2018 having played six games.
