Super Eagles defender William Troost-Ekong started life in Turkey on a positive as he was on the score sheet for Bursaspor in a friendly game.
Former Gent of Belgium defender scored for Bursaspor in their 3-0 win over English championship side Leeds United in Austria on Monday.
Ekong opened scoring in the 10th minute with a fantastic header before Tomas Necid made it 2-0 in the 63rd minute.
With eight minutes remaining, Sinan Bakis rounded off the scoring to seal the win for Bursaspor.
After the game excited Ekong wrote on his twitter handle: “First friendly game against Leeds United. Happy with the win and my first goal for @BursasporSK!” he wrote.
The Centre-back who switched allegiance to Nigeria after representing Netherlands at various age-grade competitions, joined Bursaspor from Belgian jupiler side KAA Gent on a 3-year deal.
