Former U-20 flying Eagles attacker Taiwo Awoniyi was on target for Royal Excel Mouscron in their 2-2 draw against visiting KV Mechelen.
Awoniyi scored the second goal for Mouscron in the 26th minute to give his side a two goal lead, he was subbed off in the 79th minute only to watch his team throw away their advantage to end the match in a 2-2 draw.
Awoniyi is on loan at Royal Mouscron from Liverpool.
Another ex Nigerian junior international Abduljeleel Ajagun was on target for Kortrijk FC who lost 1-2 to Oostende who had another Nigerian of their own in ex super Eagles striker Joseph Akpala.
Ajagun scored on the stroke of half time and lasted the entire 90 minutes but ended up on the losing side.
Joseph Akpala on his part was introduced in the 71st minute of the second half to help his side secure victory.
