Shooting Stars forward Wasiu Jimoh could be on his way to Maiduguri, the capital of Borno state as El-kanemi Warriors are closing in on his transfer.
The former FC Ifeanyi Ubah attacker suffered relegation with the Oluyole Warriors in the just concluded season. A source close to the player disclosed to naijafootballplus.com the player is on the verge of teaming up with coach Ladan Bosso.
“I can tell you Wasiu Jimoh will be heading to El-Kanemi Warriors for the 2017/2018 season as the Borno outfit have continued tk monitor him. I think he will add up and maintain a good relationship with Bosso whom he regarded as a father and one of the best coach in Nigeria football.
“Shooting Stars also want to hold on to their talismanic forward but Wasiu would be glad to continue his top flight football instead of pledging his future with Shooting Stars who will be campaigning in the lower division next season.
“It’s not only El-kanemi Warriors pursuing Wasiu Jimoh, FC Ifeanyi Ubah want to have him back to their squad and so do Sunshine Stars of Akure but Wasiu would think of a better offer and where to play regular football next season before he put pen to paper for any club. I think it’s 60 percent certain he will move to El-Kanemi Warriors”, the source said to naijafootballplus.com
